Compared to manual tracing, algorithm automation performed the task 33% faster, averaging 31.6 seconds/image for both border delineation and tissue classification; inter-rater reliability is also considerably higher. The automation method is highly consistent with the ground-truth tracing, with variability within 10% pixel count.
