eKare Participates in SAWC 2020

eKare Gauss An End-to-End A.I. Ecosystem Poster

Over the weekend, eKare participated in this year’s SAWC 2020 conference which, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was held in a virtual forum.  eKare’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kyle Wu, took the virtual stage during the SAWC Virtual Poster Hall session and presented a poster titled “An End-to-End Artificial Intelligence Eco-system to Streamline AI Applications in Wound Care”.  In this poster, the eKare team presents an easy-to-use platform with a variety of applications for wound management to help clinicians improve patient care. In addition to healing prediction, functionalities may include visual-based wound image search, abnormal healing detection, and automatic wound recognition.  View the complete poster below.

eKare was also honored to collaborate with the Wound Healing Society and the Wound Healing Foundation to deserving scientists and clinicians in the field of wound healing. As a result of this year’s unique circumstances, eKare sponsored scholarships to 13 scientists selected on a merit basis, making important contributions to wound care research.  Scholarships were used towards the registration fee for the SAWC 2020 virtual conference.  “Please join us in congratulating this year’s scholarship recipients! We commend you on the important contributions you continue to make to the wound healing industry,” said Patrick Cheng, CEO of eKare. Meet this year’s scholarship recipients.
